Last night was the opening of MADE IN IRAN, the debut New York showing of Iranian street artists ICY and SOT. I was at a preview last night and the art is definitely worth a trip to the gallery. The show features the duo’s acclaimed art, featuring new stencil works and site-specific installations.

Helping to celebrate the opening was Iranian post-punk band Yellow Dogs. They put on multiple raw and energetic sets throughout the opening, check out their music video for “This City” below and listen to their new EP, Upper Class Complexity.

MADE IN IRAN is open to the public through Sunday at Openhouse (379 Broome St). Stop by tonight for PBR and DJ sets or Saturday for a garden party with live music.
